Salish Cedar Bentwood Box – Dragonfly 314SBG

Crafted by Salish artist Shain Jackson, this beautiful bentwood box is made using traditional techniques. Cedar is steamed and bent into shape, and the boxes are often used to hold one’s most prized possessions. This one features a dragonfly (accented with abalone) on the lid. It represents ‘The Philosopher’ – an ever changing spirit able to see through life’s illusions, provoking deep thought and compassion. Measures 3.5″ square x 2.5″ high (9 cm x 6 cm) or 5″ square x 4″ high (12.cm x 10 cm).
