Talking Stick by Neesh Abinoogi

The Talking stick is also known as a Sharing Stick in Native culture. During a discussion, the stick is passed from person to person, each speaking only while holding it. This process ensures that everybody has a voice and everybody listens. This one is wrapped in deerskin, trimmed in fur and decorated with a turkey feather – it measures 16″/40 cm long. Crafted by Anishnabe artisan Neesh Abinoogi.
