One of the oldest traditions in Native culture is the use of the Talking Stick. During ceremonies or gatherings, a talking stick is used to bring order and respect to the person speaking. Every person attending knows they may only speak when the talking stick is passed to them. Everybody must listen and everybody has a voice.
