Totem Pole – 01204 Wolf/Thunderbird

This totem pole replicates poles crafted of argillite, a stone used exclusively by the Haida. A wolf and thunderbird are featured here. The wolf is a symbol of protection and the thunderbird is a mythological bird who was the creator and controller of  all elements and spirits. When he flew, the flapping of his wings caused thunder, and the flashing of his eyes caused lightning. Measures 6″ wide and 8.75″ high (15 cm x  22 cm).
