Dene Bark Basket by Laura Nande – Red Flower

This charming basket was crafted by Dene artist Laura Nande in Fort Laird, Northwest Territories. Traditional baskets from the region were used for storing food and supplies. This is durable enough to use, but can also be displayed as an original work of art. Crafted of birchbark, willow strips, spruce root strips, moosehide ties and porcupine quills, it measures 4″/10cm high and 5.5″/14 cm in diameter.
