Dene Basket – 20073 Bird with Pink Flower by Marie Kotchea

This lovely basket was crafted in Fort Laird, Northwest Territories, by Dene artist Marie Kotchea. Traditional baskets from the region were used for storing food and supplies. These are durable enough to use, but can also be displayed as original works of art. Crafted of birchbark, willow strips, spruce root strips, moosehide ties and porcupine quills, it measures 7.5″ x 6″ x 4″ high (19 cm x 15 cm x 10 cm).
