Dene Basket by Marie Kotchea – Pink Flowers

This lovely basket was crafted by Dene artisan Marie Kotchea in Fort Liard, NWT. The round, lidded basket features a pretty quilled flower in pink on the lid. Crafted of birchbark, willow strips, spruce root strips, moosehide ties and porcupine quills, it measures 7″ x 4″ (17 cm x 10 cm).
