Dene Basket – MK 20046 Pink Flower 2

This charming basket was crafted in Fort Laird, Northwest Territories by Dene artist Marie Kotchea.  Traditional baskets from the region were used for storing food and supplies. It is durable enough to use, but can also be displayed as an original work of art. Crafted of birchbark, willow strips, spruce root strips, moosehide ties and porcupine quills, this measures 5″/13 cm in diameter and 6″/15 cm in height.
