Dene Bark Baskets by Rose Nande – Assorted

This charming basket was crafted by Dene artist Rose Nande in Fort Laird, Northwest Territories. A pretty pink flower is quilled on the lid. Traditional baskets from the region were used for storing food and supplies. This is durable enough to use, but can also be displayed as an original work of art. Crafted of birchbark, willow strips, spruce root strips, moosehide ties and porcupine quills, it measures 4″/10cm high and 2.25″/5.5 cm in diameter.
