Dene Bark Basket – Orange Flower by Rose Nande

Crafted by Dene artist Rose Nande, in Fort Liard, Northwest Territories, this charming basket was made in the traditional manner. Once used for food storage and transport, it is pretty enough to display. Crafted of birchbark, willow strips, spruce root strips, moosehide ties and porcupine quills, it measures 4.5″ high x 5″ in diameter (11 cm x 13 cm).
