Totem Pole – Black 01003 Beaver and Raven

The Northwest Coast First Peoples have a perception of oneness of all earth’s creatures, human and animal. They believe that humans may transform into animals, birds, fish and mythical creatures and back again. Once transformed they take on the essence and spirit of that being, Their art reflects this transformation. Made of black crushed marble, this pole reflects the traditional style. The Beaver is the symbol of a carver and a builder. The Beaver is on top of Raven with Frog in its mouth. Measures 2″ x 1.75″ x 6.5″ (5 cm x 4 cm x 16 cm).
